Caring for Your CILYON

A CILYON piece is made to be kept. Leathers are chosen to soften and deepen with time; a little attention lets them age the way they were meant to.

Calf LeathersSaône · Croix-Rousse · Presqu’île

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from water, oils, perfume and cosmetics, and from prolonged direct sunlight or heat.

If the leather becomes wet, blot it softly and let it dry naturally at room temperature — never near a radiator or in the sun.

Suede & NubuckVelours de Grasse

Brush lightly in one direction with a soft suede brush to lift the nap. Protect from rain and damp, and never rub a mark — let it dry, then brush.

Crocodile & Exotic FinishesNilotique · crocodile-embossed

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth only. Humidity, heat and strong light can dull the glaze, so store the piece flat and covered when it is not being carried.

HardwareOr Lyonnais · Platine · Rose Ancien · Bronze Fumé

Polish with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid contact with perfume, creams and hand sanitiser, which can mark the finish over time.

Silk

Handle with care and store loosely folded or rolled. We recommend professional cleaning; never wring or tumble dry.

Ready-to-Wear

Follow the care label sewn into each garment; professional cleaning is recommended. Hang on a padded hanger and refresh with a light steam rather than an iron.

Shoes

Rest each pair between wears and keep its shape with shoe trees. Store in the dust bags or box, away from sunlight and moisture, and avoid wet surfaces with leather soles.

Storing Your Bag

Fill it lightly with tissue paper to hold its form and keep it upright in its dust bag, in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging a bag by its handles for long periods, and keep pale leathers apart from dark ones and from printed fabric.
